Doxxing
Researching and broadcasting private or identifying information about an individual.
What is it?
Doxxing is the act of publishing someone's private information online without their consent. This can include their home address, phone number, email, place of work, or other sensitive data, exposing them to potential harassment or danger.
Applicable Laws
No specific law for doxxing, but it can be prosecuted under Section 66C (Identity Theft) and Section 67 of the IT Act, as well as IPC sections related to criminal intimidation and harassment.
